About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

Brazilian student in South Korea to go China for tourism for 1 week.

I’m from Brazil. Nowadays, I am an exchange student living in South Korea. I want to travel from Korea to China for one week for tourist.

My Korea Visa is valid until: 22/July/2013

I have a Korean Alien Registration Card valid until: 04/August/2013

I want to travel to China in JUNE.

The website of China Embassy in Korea says that I need apply to visa by an authorized travel agency in Korea, I can’t go directly to embassy.

In the travel agency they explained to me that mine should be valid until October to apply the China Visa. My question is: I want to travel in June to China only for 7 days, my Korea one only expire in July, Can I apply for one to travel in June?

Thank you for attention.

As the rule says, the ARC card should have at least 6 months remaining validity. Thus, I am afraid that you may not get the Chinese visa to visit China for one week.

If you really want to visit China, you may go to Japan or HK to apply for it.

Thank you.
And China has Transit Visa? For example, if I travel for 2 or 3 days, do I need a visa?

Yes, there is a transit type G. If you transit in Beijing or Shanghai for less than 72 hours, visa is not required.
