About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

travel there on staff travel not shore of the day /date of arrival

what do we need to arrive in beiging .we are hoping for 4 days before we cath a cruise ship from there to sinapore thanks wayne

You need to apply for a L type visa for your Beijing visit. You need to prepare a round trip air ticket and hotel booking reservation for the application. If you can not offer them, please find a way to get an invitation letter from a Chinese, a foreigner living in China or any authorized Chinese organization.
