About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

Is there an airport hotel directly in the terminal of Pudong Airport?

My father has a long stop over in Shanghai, about 12hrs. Is it possible for him to stay in a dayroom without leaving the airport as I believe he will require a visa ( Belgian citizen) to leave the airport?

Will your father have the transit between International and International flights? If so, according to the 72h free-visa policy which was started to be applied since Jan 1, 2013, he can leave the airport, Belgium qualified. More info can be found in the link:

And there are houly lounges and houly hotel in PVG. Don't worry!

thanks for the heads up, I found the information about the visa as well. they are in transit between international flights so they qualify for the 72hr transit visa.
Found a few hotel very close by the airport with shutlle bus.
