About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Is a visa necessary if I fly from Hong Kong to the US and change planes in Shanghai.

I am visiting Shanghai from the US and have a Visa for that. At the end of the trip, I am flying to Hong Kong and then back through the Shanghai airport to the US. I will not leave the Shanghai airport. Do I need to add an extra entry to mine I am obtaining for the original stay?

No, you needn't apply for an extra one for your transit in Shanghai.
