transportation in guangzhou to beijing (short trip)

hi, am from malaysia. this is my first trip to china. so, i need some information about transportation from guangzhou to beijing by railway. how much the price for overnight sleeper to beijing. can u specify which station i should take from guangzhou if my hotel is in beijing road. which station i should stop if i wanna go to great wall.
