Can I take me dog on a train from Beijing to Baoji?

Me and my partner are English teachers in Baoji and we have a small Teddy Dog. We need to get him microchipped and a blood test done and the nearest city to do this is Beijing. We can take him on the trip from Boaji to anywhere as they aren't very strict but we are not sure if we can bring him from the West Railway Station in Beijing. Thanks.

Small animals are not allowed in the passenger carriages, but can be consigned from the starting station of a trip which has a freight carriage. The animals must be caged and consigned 4 hours prior to the departure time with the quarantine and disinfection certificates.
Notice: Some cities are not allowed to accept animals’ consignments, such as Shanghai.
In order to smooth your tour, I suggest you confirm it with the railway staffs.
