You can reach there from both Shanghai and Beijing, but the planes cannot take you to reach that city.
The trains from Shanghai takes about 10 to 12 hours.
The trains from Beijng takes about 18 to 20 hours, but there is one bullet train from Beijing and takes about 7 hours.
