We are intending to go taipei in August..

Just wondering how the weather would be like during that timing... would the typhoon be of an issue?

The average temperature is around 30C and it will be humid at that time. You may happen to meet the typhoon and you may not. It is hard to say. Generally speaking, typhoon usually occur during that month.
