GZ is an industrial city, so it is hard to find such a city there like forbidden city. If you really wish to have a look, there are some ancient city sites around Beijing Road, Jiaoyu Road and West Lake Road (Xihu Road).0

Shenzhen is not far from Guangzhoug. About 1hr 15min train ride. There you can visit Window of the World, Happy Valley, Da Mei Sha, OCT, etc.
