About:Bao'en Temple Pagoda

VISA for Postdoc

I wish to do my postdoctoral. Western countries issue one similar to working. I want to know what type applicable for postdoctoral researcher? Is it Z type? Whether work permit is need for postdoc research fellow?

No, it should be student X or business F if your stay is less than 6 months.

Hi Did n't applied it. I want to know whether postdoc consider as student or work. In US and Europe, postdoc is consider as job and offer job visa. I want to know what type of it offer there? I still not applied

Hi to all of you!
Recently I have been involved in postdoctoral studies in China. According to the chinese legislation the postdoc is considerated as a job at one of academic institution. Based on the invitation letter sent by the University and an official letter from the police office, the Chinese embassy can give you a Z, which is temporary, than in China you shall apply for the residence permit that is given as usually for 2-3 years in case of postdoc.

Dear Vio,

I am trying to get the Work Z for doing my postdoc in China, I have serious problem ,because I have my Phd but it doesn't seem that I have worked in Europe, where I do come from , for more than 3 years and I cannot get the residence permit. What do you refer as "official letter" from the police office, "official letter" from the university. in case you have found any solution please tell me

Hi im Dr Sonia n I get x type for postdoctoral studies in china...it must be z type but university sent me paper for x type...
