About:Visa Application for Children Born in US with Chinese Parents

For babies born in the U.S. with Chinese parents who are here on tourist visa.

It seems the baby is automatically a U.S. citizen. What documents will the child need to obtain a Chinese Visa to return with the parents if the baby is issued a U.S. Passport? I have heard that they would need a State issued birth certificate as well as a certificate issued from the County of Birth, however the county where the baby was born does not issue such certificates, they only referred us to the state for the long form certificate. Is anything in fact needed from the county or is the state issued birth certificate enough? Thanks in advance.

Hi, there is no such reference online. I am afraid you need to contact the embassy directly for details via 001-202-337-1956 (consular affairs).
