About:Directions for Use of Shanghai Public Transportation Card

Does a couple have to buy two Shanghai Public Transportation Cards or can both people use one card?

It is suggested to buy two cards for either of you.
One card can be used for one person on local subways. For the public buses, one card cannot be used twice within 20 minutes. So for the convenience, it is better to buy two cards for you two.
