Multiple entry visa for PRC

I am a US citizen currently living in Taiwan on a multiple entry one. Rather than going back to the states this year, I have decided to visit other countries and would like to visit both Beijing and Shanghai. Would I be able to get a multiple entry visa for the PRC here in Taiwan?

If you are now in Taiwan, you need to submit your application to HK (the Commissioner's Office of the Ministry of Chinese Foreign Affairs). You can entrust either a travel agency in Taiwan or an airline for application. A single entry L is enough if you enter once time and visit Beijing and Shanghai after entry.
