About:China Transit Visa

I am seaman & if I sign off in Shanghai, will I need a visa of any sort?

I am seaman & I intend to sign off from Shanghai on the 5th or 6th of May.
Will I need one of any sort? like transit or tourist.. If yes is the answer then, please tell me how much would it cost to me?..

Yes, a single entry L type one is ok and you need to apply for it before your arrival in Shanghai. It costs 140 USD.
