About:Harbin Ice Festival

What is the temperature during latter part of december in Harbin?

Since ice festival will yet to start on January, will i get to see beautiful and lighted ice sculptures in december? What other attractions and activities are recommended during this month?

It will be extremely cold in late Dec. with the highest temp of around -13C and the lowest temp of around -30C.

Generally, some shows or activities of this festival would start to be open to the public during late Dec. So you may get a chance to see then.

Besides the sculptures, I suggest you go to Central Street to have fun or visit St. Sophia Church. The local Polarland and Temple of Bliss also deserve a visit. Moreover, you can go to Yanbuli Ski Resort to enjoy yourself or skate at Songhua River.
