am i eligible to apply for permanent residence if i have been living here for 9 years?

HI I have been working in china since April 2004 , i have worked more then 9 years continues with work permit & residence permit. can i apply for permanent residence  to avoid every year  renewal of mine & my family visa. me & my wife both r from India. we r i n Guangzhou. Am I eligible to apply for permanent residence.

Hi, you can try to apply for residence permit in person with the local Entry and Exit Administration Division under Public Security Department. Anyway, you can also read http://www.bjgaj.gov.cn/eng/wsgsAction.do?methodname=getSubListWsgs&id=col1947 (Beijing PSB) for reference of the categories.
