About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Taipei to Shanghai

Hello! I have already purchased my ticket to Shanghai from Taipei, Taiwan because I plan to use the 72 hr visa free. My question is can I buy my ticket to leave Shanghai when I enter Shanghai airport before I register for 72 hr free transit? Thank you!

I am afraid not, you will not be allowed to board the plane to Shanghai if you do not have a valid visa or ticket for leaving. So, please book ticket in advance.
