arrival visa in guangzhou

my child get the new australia passport tomorow (wed) but we fly on friday early morning we dont have time to apply L in perth! we brought southern airline return ticket n all the hotels in china can we do it in guangzhou when we arrive there? will it any problem when we check in in perth? also how much and what do i need?
