(a) Normal walking - how long do we need to walk to the top?(b) Can we get cheap lodging at Mt Taishan?

Hi, it takes around 5h to the top by walking. I went there last Apr. and the price of the accommodation in the mountain is not that high. Generally, it costs CNY40-60/person/bed. But if you go there during peak travel season, the price will climb a lot.
