hi there, how to obtain a police clearance from China?

I would like to ask on how to obtain a police clearance from china, i was invited by my aunt and have stayed in shanghai for more than 6 months, and now im applying for a PR in canada, they ask me to submit a police clearance from china since i stayed there for more than 6 months, my question is, is it possible for me to grab a police clearance in china even if I have L visa during my stay in shanghai china?

It's a bit complicated. Someone said the police clearance could be received from the local police station. However, I heard that Chinese police stations only give the police clearance to Chinese citizens.

According to a Chinese lawyer, you need to apply it from the notary office of the Department of Justice of Shanghai. The notary office will investigate and then issue the police clearance to you.
