About:China Customs Declaration

What happens when you declare for more than $5,000 in cash into China?

I need to bring more than $5,000 in cash to pay for my wedding in the country. After I declare the money, what happens? For example, if I bring $20,000 in cash into China, will I get ALL of my $20,000 after I declared it or do I need to pay a fee or get taxed for bringing $20,000? Can someone please help who had experience with this? Thanks.

If you have more than this amount, related documents will be needed and you need to declare to the customs. You can get all of your money after declare it.
