Transit visa shanghai Hongqiao Airport. Is it possible to get it?

Dear Sir,
I am a Buddhist Monk. I am going to U.S.A. My China Eastern airlines Ticket(1. Dhaka to Kunming ;
2. Kunming to Shanghai Hongqi ;
3. Shanghai Pudong Air Port to New York. Please Inform.

How long will you stay in Kunming and Shanghai? If you stay less than 24 hours, you needn't apply for a transit G. But you need apply for a stay permit when you arrive. If you stay longer time, please apply for it before visit.
