About:Zhangjiajie Travel

Myself and my husband plan to go Zhangjiajie on next year Feb 2014. We will arrive in Guangzhou.

We will spend 8days along the trip. Wht is yr suggestion of transportation fr GZ to ZJJ? My friend advise take train fr GZ to Changsha and then to ZJJ.Is this d best way to there?How much if I take flight or train? Is there any direct way fr GZ to ZJJ?Is food there expensive?

From Guangzhou, there are direct flights to reach ZJJ and the flight fare is hard to tell, because you may get a discount if you book the tickets in advance. You can search for the price on https://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-flights/.
From the Guangzhou to Changsha South Railway Station, there are bullet trains, which costs you 314RMB for second class seat and 504RMB for the first class seat. From the South Railway Station you can take a taxi to reach West Bus Station to take the buses for ZJJ.
According to my experience, your friend is right. The way your friend told is not only cheap, but also comfortable. You may need to transfer, but it is a reasonable method.
The food there is not expensive, so please do not worry about it.
