About:Jiuzhaigou Travel Guide

My husband and I are visiting Sanya late June and want to visit Jiuzhaigou. We have checked flights

This will cost about £1,400 if booked now. Would it be any cheaper if we waited and booked in China.

The plane tickets then is high although being booked in China.
It is suggested to make a transfer in Chengdu, then the fee will be cheaper.
As far as I know, there is no direct flight from Sanya to the valley, so you may need to transfer before reaching there.
