About:Chinese Embassy in New Zealand

New Zealand citizen living in the United Kingdom - do I need to be in NZ for application?

I am a NZ citizen living in the United Kingdom. It says "The applicant must be in NZ at the time when apply in NZ." Is this still a requirement for New Zealanders living overseas or can I apply through an embassy in the UK?

Thanks for your reply. I am on a Tier 1 (General) for living and working in the UK (no permanent residence yet, this is in the works late 2013/early2014). I'll look at submitting an application to the CVASC in the UK.
