If you are really interested in the Chinese porcelain, you can choose to go.
Last year, I planned to go, but there is only one train to reach there from Shanghai and the buses takes around 7 to 8 hours. The flight tickets costs much, so I give up that place.
Next year, I plan to go to Jiangxi Province, maybe I will choose to go.

Hey, Gomi

As Mary said, if you are really interested in China porcelain, you should to visit it, everybody knew that JDZ is the capital city of porcelain in the world with thousands of years. You will see the local craftsman how to make porcelain with the traditional way, like tea pot,big jar, huge vast(about 5 meters height) and tableware.

There are lots ceramic artists from all over the world came to JDZ to make their works. Every year ,the amount of the artists is about 300. Some of them will stay in JDZ for 2 or 3 month, some of them 2 or 3 weeks. We have good and clean hotel in here, like Hostel, or Sanbao International Ceramic Village Hotel. And the local people are friendly.
And the view of countryside is awesome, some villages has about 500 year old history from Ming or Qing Dynasty, the food is excellent, about 1 hour's drive from downtown.

So, 2 to 3 days itinerary there is pretty good.

I worked as tour guide about 4 years in Jingdezhen, I would like to help you if you needed.
