ask about renewing passport

hello,,i am a filipina,,like to renew my passport this April because my passport will expire may 2014,,and my visa will expire Jan.2014 and the other reason is i will go home either July or August,,so i think renewing visa is 6months before it will expire the passport,Is it ok that i can renew it this April and how much to pay in RMB?thank you,,Lhisa..

Where are you going to renew it, China or Philippines? According the embassy of Philippines in China, the ePassport is available for Php 950.00 to be issued within 25 working days.
