As I am travelling to Beijing in May 2013, I was wondering if I could see the Terracotta Warriors in a shop or gallery?

Wish this is not too late for you. I found such replicas in Beijing Panjiayuan Flea Market. You can go there and have a look. Lolca subway line 10 can take you to Panjiayuan Station. Get out from Exit B and walk westwards about 50m to the market. Besides, one of my friends told me that there are several such stores at local Tianyi Wholesale Market of Small Articles.
