Which person from Buddhism was responsible for beginning and developments of this religion?

In Han Dynasty, one person called Yicun brought this religion into China which started the history of this religion in China.
Later, many monks such as Xuanzang, Jianzhe, Huineng and other people developed and spread this religion.
