What is the best way to travel from Beijing to see the Terracotta Army: can this be done on one day?

It is possible in one day, but you will be in a rush.
You can take the night train from BJ to Xian Railway Station and then go to the East Square to take Tourism bus 5 (306) to reach Terracotta Army directly. You can finish visiting in one day and take the night train to go back to BJ.0
