As far as I know, you have to get the single status certificate from the Registry of Marriages. It costs about 35 Singaporen dollars. Then go to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Singapore to authenticate your certificate. When it is done, go to the Chinese embassy in Singapore to attest your certificate.

Hi Trader,
If you are a divorcee, you need to obtain a marriage record from R.O.M. ( cost $35.00 ) and
your Degree NiSi to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for authentication ( $10.00 per copy ).

You also need to draft an " affidavit of Single Status " and get it signed before a notary public ( about $130.00 ) and send it to the Law Society at the Supreme Court to get it authenticated.

After that, bring all the documents to the Chinese Embassy at Tanglin Road ( only morning session before 12.30pm ) , make a photocopy of your passport as well and fill up the form and submit it to the counter for authentication ( each @ $30.00 )

It takes 4-5 working days ( normal service ) to get it done.

All the best to you !

Hi, do you have to state that you are divorced in doing up a “affidavit of Single Status”?

My partner is divorced but I do not want my parents to know about it.
