When is this year's Lusheng festival or Sisters Festival ? Heard about the 3rd day of 3rd lunar month festival which should be April 12th, can someone confirm ?

The Lusheng Festival this year has passed. It was held during Feb. 27 to Mar. 1.  I heard that the Sisters Festival is usually celebrated during 15-17th day of the 3rd month of Chinese lunar calendar. This year, it should be April 24-26. And the date you mentioned is April 12. You are right.

As I know, no special activity will be held then. Therefore, I suggest you visit Zhenyuan Ancient Town that day. Its long history endows the town with many rich and generous cultural relics, making it much like a historic garden. You will not be disappointed. And if you go there a little later, on April 14, it would be Sunday. On that day, the famous Sunday Market will be a must-see destination.
