Finnish citizen living in Tokyo wants to visit China for 5 days; is a Visa needed?

Hi! I'm a Finnish citizen living in Tokyo for 4 months. I would like to participate at an academic conference in China (Nanjing and Shanghai) 19th to 23rd May. Do I need a visa, how do I apply for one if needed, and what other documents are needed for the application?

Yes, you need to apply for a business visa (F). If you are now in Japan, you need to find yourself a local travel agency and apply with them from the embassy or consulate. As I know, invitation letter, flight tickets and hotel reservation, and your entry record or visa to Japan are required. You can contact a travel agency directly for lateset requirements.
