About:Transfer in T3 of Beijing Capital Airport

leave baggage inside transit area in Beijing airport?

Can I go into town ( have visa) for a few hours, but leave luggage for onward flight in transit area? Or do I need to pass luggage through customs then deposit outside?

I'm afraid not. Actually, you have to pass luggage through customs and then store that. In addition, I don't find any luggage-left counters at the transit area.
