requirements for tourist visa for the 2nd time travel

i went to chengdu,china last 2006, i went there for 12 days visited a friend,now i like to visit again. what are now the requirements? because before it was not much they required,only the address where im going to and an invitation letter from him (australian citizen) thank u and hope to hear from u.

Invitation letter, copies of your friend's passport, work permit, residence permit in China are required. Besides, return ticket is needed. If your friend will shoulder your cost in China, his bank statement may be required as well.
