getting to leaping tiger gorge from kunming (return trip)

Hi am wanting to hike leaping tiger gorge in early Oct 2013. Am flying into Kunming.Please advise transport options. Thankyou

You can take train or long-distance bus from Kunming to Shangri-la frist, then catch the local bus to the Tiger Leaping Gorge.

You can take train or bus from Kunming  to Lijiang and from there you can take bus (2,5 h) to Gorge. Don't go to Shangri-la beacuse you have to go back to Leaping Gorge.
