I wan to attend ICAM conference in China as a PhD student, do I need business or student visa?

I am a PhD student at the university of Benin in Nigeria, I got invitation letter as a member of International Congress for Applied Mineralogy ICAM to attend this year ICAM Conference in China by July 5-11. Please what type of visa do I need to apply for? Is it student, business or tourist visa? Please reply.
