There is direct bus from Kunming West Bus Station to travel there. Or you can take train betwen them.1

Hello again. Personally, I recommend you take a train to travel between. In this way, you'd better book the train ticket in advance.
To make sure that everthing goes smoothly, booking a hotel there in advance may be necessary. It can make your travel more convenient and easy. After all, I am also a solo traveller to many places.
