what is "Li" (as used in "Ten Thousand Li Great Wall")?

It is a length unit in China. 2 Li = 1km (about 0.6mi).

A mile is approximately 1.6 kilometres not 0.6 kilometres.

A Li is approximately 1/2 of a kilometre which is about 0.8 miles(did you find this answer useful?, if you did press that like button:)
