About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

What type of visa should I apply for?

Hi,
I am 50 years old and a naturalized United States citizen. I came to United States 25 years ago and was born in mainland.
I need to go to Beijing to visit some friends and see some doctors which may take up to 4-5 months.
What type of visa should I apply for?
Thanks

If you hold US passport now, you can apply for a business F visa with invitation letter from one of the doctors. Write the medical purpose for visit.

I got a visa:
category: L entries: M
enter before 20MAR2014
Duration of each stay: 180 days

Does this mean I don't have to reenter china every 30 days? I can stay continuously for up to 180 days?
Thanks
