I will be staying at the Cosmos Hotel in Hong Kong. My direct flight from Xi'an to HKG has been cancelled, so I am considering taking a flight to Shenzhen instead. What would be the best way to get to the hotel from there, and how long would the trip take me approximately? My flight out of Hong Kong is only a few days later, so I probably cannot use on of the airline's shuttle services.

In Bao'an airport, you can follow the direction boards to find the direct buses to Causeway area in HK, so you can take that to reach HK area. Then you can walk to reach Times Square to take a taxi to reach your hotel directly.

I am afraid not. If you want to take the HK MTR, you may still need to take airport shuttle bus 330 to reach Luohu and then pass the border to take HK MTR.
