About:China Visa Exemption

72 hours visting Beijing only

I am Canadian citizen with Canadian passport, and want to visit Beijing for 72 hours only. I will fly direct from Canada and return to Canada. Do I need visa still? I come every year as a tourist and an retired from the airline.

If you fly from Canada and return to Canada, you need to get a Chinese tourist visa in advance. 72 hour free transit can be applicable only if you fly from Canada to other country via Beijing.
