Basic enquiry about price and feasiblity to travel around Guilin

Hi :D
Me and three friends want to fly to and travel around this region for ~3.5 weeks. We were wondering how expensive everything is in this area and whether travelling ourselves this way would be feasible? Our budget is approx. £1000 each
Thanks in advance!
Liam

Hi, as you will spend 3.5 weeks there, the accommodation alone costs a large amount of money. Generally, if you stay in a standard hotel, it costs about CNY200 per night. And including your dining and transport fare, it may not be enough.

For your long-term trip, you can invite a tour guide in the first days to try to get familiar with the travel things and procedures in attractions. Then you can surely travel yourselves in the following days.

Check out hostel world, there are dorm rooms available starting from 35RMB. It is China, if you dine at local places you are sure to find food for also 30-50RMB. Avoid touristy places to eat and Western Hotels and you'll be fine. Enjoy.
