About:Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka

Foreign babies born in China & Citizenship

We are Sri Lankan. im holding student X and my wife is in tourist L visa. Our first child will be born in China. After receiving baby can we applying the resident (expat) Visa for China?

Hi, you can try to apply for your baby a family visit visa L/residence permit accompanying your student visa/residence permit in China. It should be note that your baby will not be born with Chinese citizenship, so you may need to apply for her/him a Sri Lanka passport from your embassy in China.
