same day rush service for 3rd country nationals

Question

My Chinese tourist visa application was returned by the SF consulate and I was asked to appear in person (I live in Seattle) primarily as I am not a US citizen. Is there any reason I would not be able to use the same-day rush service after paying the extra charge? I do not have 4 days to spend waiting in SF.

Hi, payment should be done upon collection. If you request rush service with approval of visa officers there, then you can get it on the same day. But I am not sure what passport you hold, rush service may be suspended for applicants from some countries. You'd better contact the consular office directly for details.
