can we travel by road from xining to jiuzhaigou?

Question

We a group of 8 people from Malaysia will be going to Tibet on 7 June 2013.  After our 8 days 7 nights Tibet tour we will take train from Lhasa to Xining on 14 June 2013.  Can we travel by road from Xining to the valley?  We have only another extra 5 days as we have booked our air ticket Chengdu back to Kuala Lumpur on 19 June 2013

There is no direct train nor bus between them. If you want to travel by road, you can take train from Xining West Train Station to Chengdu. Then go to Xinnanmen Bus Station or Chadianzi Bus Station to take bus to the scenic area.  The train journey is around one day while the bus journey is about 7-8 hours.
