About:China Embassy in Thailand

Travel agent for Chinese Visa n Bangkok

Is it possible to pay a travel agency to obtain a tourist visa for me at the Bangkok Embassy?

Can you recommend any reputable businesses that offer this service? If not, how could I find such a business?

How much extra should I expect to pay?

Hi, it is not necessary to apply through a travel agency. But you can entrust one if you have no time to visit the embassy in person. Agencies charges fees differently for their service. So, you'd better try to contact some of them and compare their prices.

I contacted a reputable agent, and he claims that things have changed as of late in Bangkok:

"Because of Chinese Embassy restrictions, agents here are currently only allowed to apply for visas for Thai passport holders and foreign residents holding work permits or retirement visas. All others now have to apply in person only."

I'e heard the Embassy in Bangkok can be a bit of a headache, so I was looking to avoid it. I guess I'll be going, in the end.
