As I know, the Confucius doctorin effects the political tradition in three aspects:
The first one is that he pointed that "Renzhen", people oriented.
The second is the concept of "Zhongyong", the Doctrine of the Mean. It taught the officials and people how to behave in the government and in daily life.
The third is that he advocated the power of the emperor and the importance of stratums.

The most important point is the his theory was the basic knowledge for students in ancient time.
It proposed the fair of the education, which give many common people chance to study and concentrate on teaching students in accordance of their ability.
