Information required for two entry tourist visa

We have confirmed plans to visit china as tourists at end of March 2013, and we wish to travel to China again in August, 2013, however our plans for this visit will not be confirmed until June or July. Can we apply for a two entry visa under these conditions?

Did you come to China before? I am afraid that you may not be granted with double entry visa if you ever came to China. If you had been granted before, you have to prepare copies of recent Chinese visa with entry record. If they are not in your current passport, you have to offer hotocopies of the previous passport with the above data required.

And you haven't confirmed your second visit. So I think you should apply for a single entry first and then get another one if you want to visit China again.
