American on visit visa in Qatar

Greetings! I am an American on a visit visa in Qatar. I am thinking about taking a teaching job in China. Can I apply for my Z work visa from Qatar? If so, what are the requirements for it?

Hi, if you plan to apply for Z visa in Qatar, Copy of Qatari visa valid for at least another 3 months, and a copy of valid Qatar Residence Permit (ID card) are required. You also need to provide the work permit and Invitation letter from China.

I am afraid you may not able to get a Chinese visa in Qatar if you are a temporary visitor there. Please try to contact the embassy directly if they accept your application.

You are exempted from visa to HK, so it is ok for your to visit HK from Qatar. Your valid Qatar visa is enough for exit. As I remember, HK Immigration required hotel reservation and ticket for leaving when entry.
